Kashmir Royal velvety Blue Bliss | 0.79 ct Blue sapphire,Lodwar Kenya
No heat Kashmir Blue Sapphire
– Mined from Lodwar, Kenya
From the depths of Lodwar’s rugged earth comes a rare marvel — a 0.79 carat unheated sapphire that defies the expectations of its origin. While most Lodwar sapphires are dark and heavily included, this gem stands apart, embodying an exquisite, Kashmir-like velvety blue — pure, luminous, and profoundly serene.
Mined by local artisanal diggers and brought in among kilos of rough material, only this singular stone was chosen from the parcel, alongside two unusual teal sapphires. Originally weighing 1.25 carats, it revealed a milky imperfection near the culet. Rather than compromise on excellence, a precise re-cut was commissioned to bring forth a stone of perfect homogeneity, showcasing nothing but divine color and exceptional clarity.
The result: a gemstone that is both natural and untouched by heat, rare in both its purity and provenance. The brilliance is enhanced by masterful faceting, allowing light to glide across its velvet-blue depths like moonlight on still water.
This sapphire is an ode to quiet luxury — destined to become a minimalist pendant or ring that whispers sophistication. It’s not just a gem; it’s an heirloom in the making, a piece of African earth alchemized into elegance.
Rare. Unheated. Exceptional.
For the jeweller who values the story as much as the stone.

Important Note to Our Esteemed Collectors and Shoppers
In the world of fine gemstones, color reigns supreme. When selecting a gemstone, prioritize color above all else—it defines the gem’s personality, value, and visual impact. Clarity follows closely, enhancing brilliance and purity.
While cut and size contribute to beauty and presence, they are considered secondary—unless you’re exploring exceptional categories such as Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds, Alexandrites, Tsavorites, Spinels, Diamonds, Paraiba Tourmalines, and other rare Collector’s Gems. In these cases, size becomes a significant factor, especially when paired with extraordinary color.
